Drew Peterson due back in court Thursday
Drew Peterson is due back in court again Thursday to schedule post-trial motions.
Peterson is appealing his second-degree murder conviction for the 2007 death of his third wife Kathleen Savio.
Thursday’s court date was initially scheduled for Peterson’s sentencing but Judge Edqard Burmila postponed the sentencing in response to highly contentious in-fighting amongst members of Peterson’s defense team.
Former lead counsel Joel Brodsky was forced to step-down amidst the controversy.
Peterson’s appeal includes an argument for ineffective assistance of counsel against Brodsky.
