German man accused of murdering D.C. socialite wife released from hospital after ending fast
Albrecht Muth, the man accused of murdering his elderly wife Viola Drath in their Georgetown home in 2011, has resumed eating and has been returned to jail.
Muth had been on a hunger strike that left him hospitalized and caused a delay in his murder trial because of the fear that he could die if transported to the courtroom.
However, according to The Washington Post, Muth intends to resume his fast when he returns to prison.
His murder trial is scheduled to begin December 2.
