Kennebunk elected official is latest ‘John’ identified in Alexis Wright prostitution scandal
Two more men pleaded guilty to paying for sexual activities with alleged Zumba Madam Alexis Wright.
On Monday, December 31, Jens-Peter Bergen, 54, of 79 Portland Road, Kennebunk, and Dale Madore, 44, of 242 West Pownal Road, North Yarmouth, both pleaded guilty through their attorney. Bergen was fined $730, Madore was fined $1,210. Bergen is a local attorney who also sits on the city’s Zoning Board of Appeals.
Wright, 29, is accused of running a one-woman prostitution service out of her fitness studio in the upscale town of Kennebunk, Maine. According to authorities she kept a detailed client list with an estimated 150 “Johns” and videotaped her encounters without the men’s approval.
Wright is charged with 106 counts including prostitution, invasion of privacy and tax evasion. Her alleged business partner Mark Strong, 57, is charged with 59 counts including promotion of prostitution and violation of privacy. Police also say they found videos of Strong and Wright engaging in sexual activities.
