Man Accused of Murdering Girlfriend in Dorm Room Due Back In Court
A Utica area man accused of murdering his girlfriend in her college dorm Sept. 29, 2012, appeared in court again this morning.
His trial has already been delayed three separate times.
Clayton Whittemore, 21, is charged with second-degree murder for allegedly beating to death his 18-year-old girlfriend Alexandra Kogut in her SUNY Brockport dorm room. According to reports, Whittemore told investigators that he just “snapped” after an argument.
On a 911 call shortly after the incident Whittemore asked if he could request the death penalty.
